Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania (CHAP)
Christian Homeschool Association of Pennsylvania was founded to encourage and support families interested in home education. CHAP assists parents in understanding and fulfilling the laws requirements and is affiliated with several national organizations: the Home School Legal Defense Association, the National Center for Home Education, and the National Alliance of Home Education Leadership. CHAP provides leadership and direction on issues facing Christian homeschoolers on a national and state wide basis.
Christian Homeschoolers of Hawaii (CHOH)
Christian Homeschoolers of Hawaii (CHOH) shares information regarding homeschooling from a Christ-centered perspective and provides support for homeschooling families. CHOH's mission as a statewide, non-governing service organization is to organize activities to educate, assist, and encourage families in homeschooling endeavors and be a liaison between homeschooling families and national, state, and local organizations and agencies.
Education Network of Christian Homeschoolers of New Jersey (ENOCH)
ENOCH of New Jersey is organized exclusively for the purpose of providing service and support to Christian home education support groups and home educators within the State of New Jersey. ENOCH monitors and advises the State Department of Education and other appropriate officials, monitors cases before family, state and federal court, reviews and disseminates home education materials and information considered vital to home educators, publishes a state newsletter, and conducts an annual state home education convention.
Families for Home Education (FHE)
FHE was founded in 1983 to provide a strong defense against assaults to home education in the Missouri legislature. They closely monitor legislative activity in the state capitol. FHE’s purpose is to protect the inalienable right of the parents of Missouri to teach their own children without state regulation or control. FHE represents and supports the rights of all home educators in the state and is not affiliated with any religious or political organization, or special interest group.
Florida Parent Educators Association (FPEA)
The Florida Parent Educators Association (FPEA) exists solely to serve homeschooling families in Florida. The FPEA executes that mission through support for the legal right to homeschool, local school board education and interaction, support group networking, a state convention, local conferences and events, informative communications, and most importantly, by giving individual encouragement, all in accordance with Judeo-Christian principles.
Georgia Home Education Association (GHEA)
The Georgia Home Education Association is a network of home education families and support groups dedicated to observing the Biblical commands for parents to train their children.
Home Educators Association of Virginia (HEAV)
Home Educators Association of Virginia is the oldest and largest member-supported, statewide, non-profit homeschool association. Since 1983 they have successfully worked to promote and protect home education in Virginia through information, legislation, and resources. HEAV, coming from a biblical worldview, serves all homeschoolers—regardless of religious or philosophical beliefs.
Home Educators' Resource Organization of Oklahoma (HERO)
HERO of Oklahoma's primary purpose is to provide information concerning the many local and state educational resources available to Oklahoma home educators. As a network of homeschooling families and support groups, HERO of Oklahoma also helps families connect with each other through their web site, gatherings, and e-mail discussion groups. HERO is an inclusive statewide resource organization; not a support group.
HomeSchool Association of California (HSC)
The HomeSchool Association of California is a nonprofit volunteer-run homeschool organization that provides advocacy, legislative watch, and family events. HSC is fully inclusive and celebrates diversity.
Homeschoolers of Maine (HOME)
Homeschoolers of Maine (HOME) is a Christian ministry dedicated to preserving, protecting and promoting home education in the State of Maine. HOME maintains a current list of support groups and refers new homeschoolers to their HOME Regional and County Representatives. HOME Email News Updates contain information on events, activities, news, legislative alerts, etc., to share with local support groups. HOME Regional Leaders form around the state gather at the annual convention, held in the spring, for further updates, sharing and fellowship.
Homeschoolers of Wyoming (HOW)
The Purpose of Homeschoolers of Wyoming (HOW) is to provide support and further the interests of family-funded, parent-directed home education of children. The support provides a network for legislative purposes, newsletters, conventions, and activities. The leadership is Christian directed and lead, consisting of couples serving as board of directors. These officials advise and inform the county contacts throughout the state. The county contacts volunteer to pass on information and help those in their county. Local support groups are very loosely structured in most cases.
Idaho Coalition of Home Educators (ICHE)
The purpose of the Idaho Coalition of Home Educators is to protect the right to home educate within the state of Idaho. To this end, ICHE sponsors standardized testing, Legislative Day (an annual reception at the Statehouse), and E-mail Legislative Alerts.
Illinois Christian Home Educators (ICHE)
Illinois Christian Home Educators is a not-for-profit Christian organization composed of families dedicated to the success of home education in Illinois. ICHE is governed by a Board of Directors and is not a membership organization. ICHE serves to network different support groups from all over Illinois for the purpose of sharing information and encouraging one another. For the individual home educator, ICHE sponsors conventions and conferences throughout the year and sponsors some family outings. For the beginning home educator, ICHE offers a Beginner's Packet to answer questions and to help new home educators find a local support group.
Indiana Association of Home Educators (IAHE)
The IAHE is a non-profit organization founded in 1983 for the purpose of serving the Lord Jesus Christ through supporting and encouraging families interested in home education. Primary functions are maintaining visibility as home educators with civil government leaders, influencing the legislative process, and sponsoring seminars for parent education. They also publish a free bimonthly magazine, The IAHE Informer. Their statewide annual convention serves to encourage those who have been homeschooling for a number of years and those who are just getting started.
Information Network for Christian Homes (INCH)
Information Network for Christian Homes serves families interested or involved in home education by providing the information, resources and encouragement needed to teach their children at home in the state of Michigan, and to work to ensure the continued freedom to do so. They provide assistance and information via telephone, mail, email and their wehsite; provide resource materials such as books, videos, cassettes and information packets; sponsor annual conventions and seminars; establish and maintain communication with state and national home education leaders, legislators, attorneys, and media officials; assist in contacting and forming local support groups; and much, much more.
Kentucky Home Education Association (KHEA)
Kentucky Home Education Association is a non-sectarian organization open to all conscientious supporters of home education. KHEA is the oldest, statewide homeschooling organization. Their purpose is to recognize, encourage, and protect the inalienable, God-given right of parents to educate their children at home; to monitor legislation as it relates to home education; to disseminate information concerning pertinent home education issues; to provide spokespersons for home education in Kentucky; and to inform the general public and policy makers of the credibility and value of home education.
Loving Education At Home (LEAH)
Loving Education At Home (LEAH) is a statewide organization dedicated to supporting and promoting home education throughout New York. One of their major purposes is to support a statewide network of mutual support groups by and for home educating parents. They publish a statewide quarterly newsletter, conduct annual homeschool conventions, and monitor the New York State Legislature and the State Education Department regarding developments on home education policy and regulations.
Maryland Association of Christian Home Educators (MACHE)
MACHE exists to support the Christian home schooling families and support group leaders in the state of Maryland . They provide a quarterly newsletter to member families and groups, offer a discount for membership in the Home School Legal Defense Association , and host an annual curriculum fair, symposiums, workshops, and other events. MACHE also coordinates with the Maryland State Department of Education, giving input and advice to them on issues that relate to home schooling in the state of Maryland. They also monitor the Maryland state legislature to ensure that our freedoms to teach at home are not compromised.
Massachusetts Home Learning Association (MHLA)
The Massachusetts Home Learning Association (MHLA) is an advocacy and education organization which endorses home learning as an alternative to public or private schooling. MHLA informs and educates families, school officials, the media, elected officers, policymakers and other constituencies about the benefits, societal impacts and unique educational methods of homeschoolers.
Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators (MÂCHÉ)
Minnesota Association of Christian Home Educators (MÂCHÉ) is a statewide organization for parents who have chosen to homeschool. MÂCHÉ provides information to the home educator and acts as an effective vehicle to facilitate and safeguard the home education opportunity in Minnesota.
