Below is an alphabetical list of homeschool support groups throughout Georgia.  If you would like to add your group to our list, you will need to send us your information. To have your group information changed or removed, please contact us.

Atlanta Alternative Education Network

Atlanta Alternative Education Network (AAEN)is a not-for-profit cooperative support group of homeschoolers and other educators interested in exploring alternatives to public/private schools. AAEN is staffed entirely by volunteers. Members come primarily from the north Metro Atlanta area, although many members live inside the Perimeter, and some drive all the way from Stone Mountain and Peachtree City to participate in classes and parkday. The lifestyles, religious and philosophical beliefs, ethnic backgrounds, parenting and educational styles of our members vary considerably and we view that as a strength and an opportunity for growth.

Catoosa Home Education Association

Catoosa Home Education Association (CHEA) is an organization of 100+ homeschool families. Membership includes families from Catoosa, Walker, Dade and Whitfield counties in Georgia as well as quite a number of families from Tennessee in the Chattanooga metro area. They offer group support to homeschool families in their geographic region through classes, field trips, family meetings, clubs, and friendships and monitor Georgia and Tennessee legislation that affects homeschoolers. CHEA is open to any homeschooling family who would like to be a part of their group, however CHEA is a Christian organization and decisions made for our group will be guided by Christian principles.

Circle of Friends

Circle of Friends: Support for Home Educators is a group of families that meet together for the express purpose of supporting each other and planning social and educational events for home educated families in Douglas County and the surrounding area. Circle of Friends schedules monthly field trips and has regular park days and Moms Night Outs.  Members can also attend classes and group club meetings.

Communities of Home Educators for Christ

Communities of Home Educators for Christ (CHEC) is a support group for Georgia families who homeschool in Cobb, Paulding and surrounding counties. CHEC offers a variety of activities, fieldtrips, ideas, information, fellowship and support in your efforts to educate your child. We also act as a conduit for information about services available in our area to homeschoolers such as special classes, sports activities, etc.
