Aberdeen Area Christian Home Educators

Aberdeen Area Christian Home Educators (AACHE) is a group of Christian home schooling families in and around Aberdeen, South Dakota. They have a variety of activities for children of all ages, as well as for their parents. Activities are a great way to meet many hardened homeschooling veteran mothers and fathers. You can share advice and support, as well as resources and educational materials. Kids can make new friends, and get involved in activities like a monthly gym day at the YMCA, or annual events like track & field day and the project fair.

Black Hills Homeschool Association

Black Hills Homeschool Association is an inclusive group of home educating parents dedicated to empowering all homeschoolers in the Black Hills of South Dakota through Support, Encouragement and Education. Membership in BHHA is free and open to all homeschoolers. You will find their Yahoo mailing list here.

Brookings Area Homeschool Alliance

The Brookings Area Homeschool Alliance (BAHA) welcomes all families engaged in or considering educating their children at home in the region surrounding Brookings, South Dakota. An important aspect of the group is to keep each other informed via e-mail of community and university activities that might enhance a home school education. BAHA collects no dues; families pay for activities directly when fees are encountered. All BAHA activities, such as field trips, book discussions, one-time or ongoing classes, are member-initiated.

Lake Area Homeschool Association

Lake Area Homeschool Association is a support group for homeschooling families in and around Watertown, South Dakota. They are mainly made up of Christians, but they are open to all who homeschool in the Codington County area. LAHA has many different families with many different methods of homeschooling.  Join them for support and weekly park days.

South Dakota Home School Association (SDHSA)

The South Dakota Home School Association (SDHSA) is an inclusive, nonprofit homeschool group serving the greater Sioux Falls area. They  are a social and educational group, respectfully promoting members’ diversity, monitoring state and local legislation, and informing and empowering members on their educational paths.  The SDHSA welcomes anyone with an interest in home education!

The Natural Learning Network

The Natural Learning Network is a nonsectarian, non-discriminatory support group for families who are homeschooling in and near South Dakota. They are unschoolers, relaxed home learners, and world learners. The NLN provides support for parents as well as activities for the children. All members are asked to contribute to the group.  Membership is free and new members are always welcome.

West River Christian Homeschoolers

West River Christian Homeschoolers (WRCH) is a free, non profit, South Dakota Interdenominational Christian homeschool support group that serves Rapid City and the surrounding West River area. They provide homeschool families with information, encouragement, and Christian relationships. They welcome all Christians who are currently homeschooling or considering homeschooling, however, they ask that you share their statement of belief.
