Below is an alphabetical list of homeschool evaluators throughout Florida.  Choosing an evaluator is a personal decision and we encourage you to shop around and ask other homeschoolers in your area who they recommend. What to Expect at Your Evaluation: I meet with parent/s and child to discuss portfolio, successes, challenges, and to learn more from child specifically regarding interests. I will need 1-2 wks to evaluate portfolio, create an annual evaluation Letter, and write recommendations and suggestions for further academic success. I need all documentation per Florida Home Education statutes - in the Portfolio I will need to see all Curriculum, Materials, Workbooks, Texts, Workshops, Classes, Extra Curricular-Activities, Music/Art Instruction, etc used/listed to include a Book List of all Read-Alouds or Independent Reading Materials, as well as samples of each Subject covered from the beginning, middle, and end of your Home School Academic Year to showcase progress commensurate with child's abilities. I have a Special Needs sensitivity - ADHD/OCD/TS/ASD & Gifted.

Qualifications & Experience: Experience teaching overseas and at all grade levels. Taught homeschoolers many different subjects including Spanish, and developed a Spanish curriculum. Homeschooled my two kids since 2004, and began doing homeschool evaluations in 2008. Also do homeschool consultations with curriculum recommendations.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: I focus on portfolio evaluations with optional diagnostic testing in math and reading. My goal is to keep it as stress-free as possible for everyone, and also to provide recommendations for curriculum, teaching strategies, and resources for the following year.

Qualifications & Experience: I completed my schooling as a homeschool student and then pursued a degree in education at UNF. I taught typical high school students as well as those with special needs from learning differences and hearing loss to Down Syndrome. I tutor in a virtual environment, teach sign language to students from infant to adult and homeschool my own son.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: At your evaluation, I will take a look through the samples and logs that you provide to be gauge progress. If there are any significant strengths or areas needing support, I will discuss those with you. I'll also chat with your student about school, favorite topics, specific items in the portfolio or maybe the weather (whatever gets them talking!).

Cost: $30 for the first child, $20 per 30 minutes of travel (discount for more than one child)
