Below is an alphabetical list of homeschool evaluators throughout Florida.  Choosing an evaluator is a personal decision and we encourage you to shop around and ask other homeschoolers in your area who they recommend. Qualifications & Experience: Own and operate the New Approach Institute Inst. Tutoring program for 10 yrs. Over 20 yrs. experience in teaching grades K-6 for 7 yrs. and 1 yr. 7th & 8th English. All academic subjects as well as ESOL; ESOL for Adults at Palmetto High School, Miami Dade; Life Skills/Coaching for the Bureau of Prison (Halfway House) Miami; and Substitute teacher grades K-6 for the Department of Defense Columbus Georgia; Instructor for grades K-9 at the Academics Skills Center, Columbus Georgia.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: I will observe samples of work from all subject areas that show improvement and or knowledge of the same. Samples should be in a large binder individualized to include testing, pictures of recreational events, receipts and all other pertinent information. The evaluation can be every six months or yearly. Parents can determine.
Location(s): Martin County, Port St Lucie and surrounding areas
Cost: $45 for one child, $40 for two. Payment for more than two can be arranged. This will depend if for 6 months or the full year.

I am a certified teacher from the state of Florida with 10 years experience in teaching, 20 years experience in tutoring students, and 12 years experience in homeschooling my own children.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: Evaluation style: Interview with parent and child; review portfolio - this can be done in person or via web submission. References upon request.

Qualifications & Experience: I hold a Master’s degree in Education (Teaching and Learning) from Southeastern University. I have been teaching for eleven years, seven in Pasco County. I am also an approved administrator for the Iowa and Stanford Tests.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: One or more of the following: Portfolio Evaluation/Student Conference; Iowa Test of Basic Skills; Stanford Test; PIAT upon request

Cost: $45 for all services except PIAT ($80). Sibling discount available.

Qualifications & Experience: I am a homeschooling mom of 5 with over 10 years of teaching experience both online and in a classroom.
What to Expect at Your Evaluation: Evaluations are very relaxed and stress-free. I am familiar with all types of homeschooling philosophies and am unschooling friendly. I will look through and discuss the portfolio with the child and parent addressing any questions or any areas of concern that you may have. I believe that the evaluation should be an enjoyable time where your child can showcase his/her proudest accomplishments and we can celebrate them together.
