Language Arts Resources

Language arts encompasses reading (phonics, literature), writing (composition, grammar, usage, mechanics), speaking and listening, and the study of word origins and meanings (spelling, vocabulary). It is oftentimes referred to simply as grammar or English. The websites under this section primarily focus on grammar, usage, and mechanics.  We have separate categories with resources for reading, spelling and vocabulary, and the writing process. For retail language arts curriculum products and non-free resources, see our curriculum section.
