ACT, Inc. develops and administers the PreACT and ACT college level assessments. The PreACT® 8/9 and PreACT® were designed to help 8th, 9th, and 10th grade students experience ACT testing. The ACT is typically taken by 11th and 12th grade students. Scores earned on the ACT are often used to verify college readiness and scholarship eligibility.
